Cleo Hotel

The Cleo Hotel project, located at the NE corner of South Coast Highway and Cleo Street, will continue the existing uses — lodging, retail, restaurant — at the two adjacent subject properties: Holiday Inn and 14 West. This stretch of Coast Highway will be updated and beautified with an increase in parking and inviting, usable public spaces.

If approved, the Cleo Hotel will be a terraced, three-story, full-service hotel with approximately 103 rooms situated above three levels of subterranean parking. Parking will include the 219 required stalls and potentially up to 50 additional public parking spaces. There will be 74,750 SF of hotel space, which includes 2,700 SF of market retail space and 2,075 SF restaurant space. Other notable Cleo Hotel features include an ocean view pool deck with outdoor amenities designed for the exclusive use of hotel guests.

Fronting the Cleo Hotel along Coast Highway would be a landscaped urban space where pedestrians are encouraged to enter the hotel’s inside gathering spaces, thereby creating a functional plaza for the use and enjoyment of both hotel guests and the local community.
